PharmacyOS — the operating system for a pharmacy

The problem we walked into.

Independent pharmacies here run on paper and memory. Stock walks out unrecorded, expiry dates get missed until a customer notices, and every tax-compliant invoice is a manual exercise. The retail software on the market assumes a Western supply chain, English-speaking staff and an internet connection that never drops — none of which describes a counter in Dhaka.

How we framed it.

We designed for the busiest hour, not the demo. Every decision was measured against a real counter: can someone who has never used software before complete a sale in under ten seconds, and does the till keep working when the line drops mid-transaction? Regulatory rules are enforced by the software rather than left to staff discipline, so a rushed cashier cannot put an expired medicine in a customer's hand.

What we shipped.

A complete system for running a pharmacy — counter sales, stock with batch and expiry tracking, prescriptions, supplier ordering and compliant invoicing — available in the browser and as native apps for Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac. Staff keep selling through an outage and everything reconciles once the connection returns.
